What’s the best and worst airport you’ve been to?

It feels wrong to name and shame but I was literally just thinking about this so here we go.

In my opinion the worst airport I’ve been to is Addis Ababa. Hear me out, I know it deals with ALOT of traffic and as an African I am truly grateful but I hate that airport. I hated it when they barely had seats inside in the early 2000’s and I hate it now that they do have seats. It always feels chaotic which I don’t think is helped by the fact that a lot of people don’t speak English. Yes I know everyone doesn’t need to speak English but if you are accepting that volume of traffic some English is helpful to those using the airport. However I will mention if you get a long transit and can stay in the Skylight hotel, you should take it. It’s a beautiful hotel, you will be a little confused as to how to get there but it is worth the hassle.

Now for my favourite. Schiphol Airport is my favourite. You can find a stretchy seat, it’s got some good stores and the most adorable little library. Every-time I get there it gives me that “airporty feeling” I used to get when I was little and started travelling.

I will also make an honourable mention of an airport I visited in Cayo Coco, Cuba and to my surprise the had cats running around in the airport! Imagine my surprise waking up from a nap and seeing a few cats running around 😳🤨 I would have complained but I seem to have been the only one bothered by this development or realization
