Urban Garden 2024

I’m not really a plant person. I love nature but I didn’t really think much of keeping plants. My mum started getting one or two plants but I didn’t really pay it any mind until someone at work was moving and they were giving away plants. I thought mmmm my mum would probably like it, not realizing I would love this plant. The garden crouton. We have had it for like 3 years. It was getting thin but I think it was lack of sunlight. We all need a little light.

Our aloe vera had a flower last year. We didn’t know an aloe Vera can have a flower but it did.

Our African Bush Lily finally had a flower after about two years. It started as two stalks now they are 5 or 8.

Our pepper didn’t bear any fruit this year but it has for about 5 years I believe. Last year they had some weird bugs and this year nothing.

Some plants died, some were eaten by Lolah but generally they are doing pretty well.

Photos and Airports

What makes you feel nostalgic?

From the moment I discovered a camera I loved taking photos. When I was growing up we used to take as many photos as we could with the only problem being how to process all the films.

The digital evolution of photography did not stop me taking photos and I currently have 46,228 photos on my phone (I recently deleted some). In my defence some photos are for content creation but a lot are just funny videos of my family, friends and places I’ve visited.

I often get into a mood where I think of someone or something and the photos and videos I have just ease that feeling of being apart from someone.

Another thing that makes me nostalgic is airports. No matter how happy you are to be going home, going to a new place you are always leaving something behind. I’ve moved quite a bit and so airports always stir up emotions for me. From the last time I saw this person, to the time such and such missed a flight or the first time I went home without someone.

There is a pause that I take in airports that is similar to the one I take when looking at old photos that can only be described as:

a sentimental longing or wistful affection for a period in the past.

Water Baby

When are you most happy?

I am most happy when I am around water.

I am creative because I have re-purposed this post with another while using pictures taken by me
