What would I do if I won the lottery? Well first I would be glad I finally changed my mind that lottery tickets are a waste of money and it’s better to buy a chocolate bar instead.
Next I would hire a financial planner and accountant because I have heard that a high percentage of people that win the lottery end up broke in 10 years.
Next I would buy my family members houses or gift who ever I wanted to gift. I’m not sure if I would tell them how I got the money but it depends on the amount of winnings.
I would then quit my job I’m not one of those people that will stay humble through work. I’ve worked many many years, any and all I can learn about work I think I have learnt.
Finally I’d start my world tour visiting different places. I would buy a globe, spin it and depending on where it landed I would visit that place. O finally I should probably gjve some money to a worthy cause.
As a lover of books there are so many books in my list. I’m trying not to buy any more books until I’ve read the ones I have especially the e-books that have been gathered and not completed.
African Philosopher Reader – Edited by Coetzee and Roux – Found it in the library then couldn’t remember the name then finally got the ebook.
The W.E.B. Dubois Collection – Blackmore Dennett – I’ve read some of it including For the Souls of Black Folks but haven’t finished the rest
The New Class War – Michael Lind – Probably one of the many books I have been recommended by one podcast or another.
The Pillars of the Earth – Ken Follet – Started it like I’m not sure when but I need to complete the book and maybe eventually the series
Winter of the World – Ken Follet – Read the first book but haven’t finished this one and the 3rd is waiting for me
The Federalist Papers – Alexander Hamilton – My friend recommended it
Those are few of the ones on the list but every year I also do a podcast book review episode of the books I have read, so maybe they list will be shorter next year or I’ll buy a few more to read.
Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.
We are always joking around in my family so whenever we are waiting for big news to take that edge off we never give the good news right away. We always pretend it’s the opposite then it takes a couple of attempts to figure out is it really bad news or is it really good news.
It’s good because when it’s actually bad news you have a little hope that noo they will tell me the truth eventually and if it turns out to actually be bad you have almost numbed the shock a little bit.
O another little tradition that we have recently stopped because somehow we are all “adult adults” is because we travel a lot we “take” each others things right before the trip and you don’t realize till you get to where you are going that 😮 “our” favourite is perfume is gone. Others may call that “theft” we call that affection to be returned on another trip
Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.
I’ve heard different people talking about how beautiful Banff is but I paid it no mind till this year. While wandering through Europe I saw so many mountains and I remembered how much I love mountains.
I’ve been obsessed with water which is my first love in an “elemental” sense but I think 2024 will be my hiking through the mountains year. I also hope to be able to do yoga at the top of a mountain one day but I think first I should visit Banff.
