The Other Love – On Love from Africa Selections
They make you laugh
Then they hurt or annoy you
They “borrow” and break your things,
But would give you the world in a heartbeat
They defend you ferociously but will correct you when you’re wrong, even from across the globe
There is nothing they won’t do for you but sometimes they want way too much from you
Endless laughter keeps us going, even when it seems the world is against us
Anger between us is only temporary because the love we have for each other is never ending
My home, my heart, my friends, my blood, my family
I love you all way too much

God watches both of us even when we are not together and cannot watch each other. Let’s us all consider this in all our actions.

Did I miss the signs?

You try to understand why

You search for more reasons
But then you finally realize
